Seoulite has introduced what may be a shocking menu
to some people out there. It is the octopus!
Spring is the season when this
certain type of octupus becomes very abundant in the Korean seafood market.
Also, restaurant owners also become quite generous in this season, so Seoulite
did not hesitate when his co-worker, who really does crave for spicy food,
insisted on going for some hot-seasoned-jjugumi.
When ordered, this is what you get.
One can just pour them into the hot plate in the center of dining table.
Well these creatures are already dead while being seasoned, I.E. someone else
has done the guilty-part. If someone wants to do it him/herself, one can always
visit jjugumi shabu-shabu restaurant, and restaurant will provide live jjugumi.
(giggle)
While being cooked, trying banchan here and there. Not bad.
This was last picture taken as the party started to devour these spicy and
hot menu with few shots of soju. One of the banchan given was bean sprouts. It
went nice with spicy food.
Wanna be venturous in Korea? Get some octopus,
or jjugumi before spring goes away~
